President met Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

President Victor Yushchenko met with Chief of the General Staff and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergiy Kirichenko, president's press office reported.

At the meeting sides discussed problems in financing of military of Ukraine, particularly in financing of international peacemaking and peacekeeping activity of Ukraine.

Also Sergiy Kirichenko touched upon the subject of holding international military exercises at the territory of Ukraine, which require appropriate approving of President’s decree in that field by the Verkhovna Rada.
