The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted law on the national referendum, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
296 MPs voted for such law on referendum.
The given law determines order of announcement of the national referendum on people’s initiative, in particular referendum on introduction of changes into the Constitution of Ukraine.
The national referendum is appointed on people’s initiative on demand at least of 3 million people if their signatures are collected at least in 2/3 oblasts of Ukraine and at least by 100 thousand in each oblast.
According to the law, national referendum on people’s demand is announced by the President.
