The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko took part in event dedicated to the 20-th anniversary of holding democratic elections in the Republic of Poland. The event gathered heads of governments of Eastern European countries, in particular Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, Slovenia, Czechia, Slovakia and Estonia, government portal reported.

The Premier of Ukraine said in her speech that “the first finishing tape of totalitarianism was cut in Poland".

Yulia Tymoshenko thanked to Poland for this country is assisting to Ukraine to pave the way to Europe and backing our state in its Eurointegration aspirations. The Prime Minister emphasized Ukraine sometimes needs additional time to win as was during the final match for the UEFA Cup. Yulia Tymoshenko announced she believes in effectiveness of Eurointegration processes in Ukraine. “In these days when Europe is electing a new Parliament and when we are paying tribute to the Polish revolution, overcoming consequences of the crisis, I summon to devote ourselves to the solidarity – a dream about free and united Europe,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
