Organizers of explosions in a department of Oshchadbank in Melitopol of Zaporizhzhya region have been detained. The First Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Turchynov announced during a briefing today. “I wish to stress on operative and professional activity of law enforcement officers owing to whom this socially dangerous act has been unveiled in an unprecedentedly short term,” Olexandr Turchynov noted, according to government portal.
He underlined the suspects in organization of the explosions were detained at 03:00 p.m. already and at 10:00 p.m. testified.
“Motivation of the crime is banal but consequences are destructive,” the First Vice Premier urged. According to him, two organizers had an aim to rob the Oshchadbank department and so made and applied a blasting assembly. Olexandr Turchynov added that organizers and perpetrators of the crime had also had two pistols and respirators with them.
As reported earlier on June 2, on commission of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko a Governmental group to investigate the reasons and liquidate consequences of the blasts in Oshchadbank department in Melitopol of Zaporizhzhya region was set up, led by the First Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Turchynov.
