MP from the Party of Regions faction Nestor Shufrych hopes that the President Viktor Yushchenko comes to the parliament this week and announce about his resignation. Shufrych told journalists today, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“Probably Ukraine will have such luck that Yushchenko will leave earlier,” he said.
At the same time politician does not believe that Yushchenko will resign because after that he will lose his presidential immunity. “And we in the parliament do not have runway for him to fly to his American bee-garden,” he added.
According to him, dual power should be stopped in Ukraine. “We should deprive the President of his right to interfere into the work of executive power and to cancel decisions of the government,” Shufrych said.
Speaking about the possibility of a new coalition in the parliament, he said that in order to make changes into the Constitution there is a deadline. This is approximately 15-20 June. In order to make changes into the Constitution it is necessary to submit and vote for draft changes in the parliament.
