Today the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko met Donetsk Shakhtar FC players to congratulate them on winning UEFA Cup, ForUm informs, referring to the information from the president’s press service.
“You have demonstrated technique which the sport world will be proud of for many years. This match will find a place in the football and sport history. You played professionally and showed wonderful game,” the President said.
Yushchenko noted that Shakhtar proved reputation of professional club by this game and victory.
The President thanked the president of Shakhtar Donetsk FC Rinat Akhmetov who is devoted to “this project” for his excellent work.
Viktor Yushchenko presented the football players with decorations. In turn the players presented Viktor Ysuhchenko with a T-shirt and a ball with their signatures.
