"There's no text of the constitution [drafted by the BYuT and the Party of Regions]. There's no agreed strategy, and there are no agreed positions," he told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.
Commenting on reports in the media that both parties had allegedly drafted the text of a new constitution, he said that "everybody is threatening each other to keep" President Viktor Yuschenko "on tenterhooks."
Pysarenko said that from the legal point of view, it was difficult to amend the constitution before presidential elections.
He said that the introduction of such amendments could be postponed until 2010, "or perhaps, after presidential elections everybody will forget about the need to amend the constitution."
