Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has signed a decree on the urgent steps on aimed at realization of the Brussels declaration and on the implementation of the project of the Euro-Asian oil transportation corridor on the basis of the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline.
"The President has signed these two decrees today," Ukrainian President's envoy for international energy security Bohdan Sokolovsky said, the President’s press office reported.
Yesterday at his joint press conference with President of Finland Tarja Halonen President Yushchenko informed that tomorrow he would sign a Presidential Decree on switching Odesa-Brody oil transport pipeline in forward mode.
He said that the document would foresee establishment of a working group from representatives of relevant ministries.
Victor Yushchenko also reminded that feasibility study for the Euro-Asian Oil Transport Corridor project on the basis of Odesa-Brody pipeline had been already approved and appropriate Ukrainian-Polish intergovernmental agreement had been signed, therefore all formal decisions oblige the sides to move forward.
