Ukraine has completely set accounts with the Russian Federation for the natural gas. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced on opening a Governmental session todaym according to government portal.
“We have paid 650 million dollars, settled accounts for 2 billion 398 million cubic metres,” the Head of Government underlined.
Yulia Tymoshenko stressed the Government had started preparing for the autumn-winter period and significant amount of natural gas gad been pumped into the gas storages already.
According to the Premier, if payments for the natural gas in Ukraine will be made by all consumers timely, the country will show independence and stability in the system of consumption of the natural gas and payments for it.
Besides, Yulia Tymoshenko accentuated the Gov’t had succeeded in curbing corruption in gas area and nowadays the system of natural gas supplies in Ukraine is freed from this phenomenon.
“As it had been in the times of the Second World War when minefields had been checked and information received that the territory was free from mines, nowadays we have several areas, including the area of natural gas supplies, which are completely free from corruption, from abuses, from bureaucratic impudence of previous authorities,” the Prime Minister explained.
