Artek International Children’s Centre is operating in the planned regime. The Minister of Family, Youth and Sport Yurii Pavlenko informed a briefing. Cabinet's press service reports.

Yurii Pavlenko stressed the Artek is one of those children’s camps operating all year round and today the third shift starts. According to the chair of the ministry, repair works which are financed from the resources of the Reserve Fund of the State Budget are being held simultaneously with invigoration campaign.

In addition, Yurii Pavlenko imparted two commissions are performing their activity: Commission on transition of administration from the State Affairs Department to the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sport and Commission on checks of land issues in Artek. “I think in September we will submit a detailed report concerning every land plot belonging to Artek or which, possibly was illegally alienated from the camp’s territory,” the Minister emphasized.

Moreover, the top official said in June, at Artek’s anniversary, seven-year program of development of the centre will be presented: “With Artek, as with Moloda Hvardiya, there are no problems for now with their operation and invigoration of children… I believe the Artek Centre will welcome record over the years of independence amount of children – around 28 thousands”.

Yurii Pavlenko added the Gov’t is working to accumulate maximum funds to conduct the invigoration campaign. “We want to regulate certain elements of budget legislation aimed at qualitative invigoration campaign in 2009”.
