The Defense Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Yekhanurov informed about crucial situation in defense industry because of poor financing of the defence industry.
“Economic crisis negatively affects the defence budget of Ukraine,” he said that today in Kyiv, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
In particular, the Minister noted that 2009 will become for the Ukrainian militaries the most difficult year. At the same time, the Minister expressed hope that Armed Forces of Ukraine will manage to provide fulfillment of some tasks and functions, set before.
“Such poor and depressive defence budget, Ukraine does not remembers since its beginning of independence," the Minister added.
