The VRU speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn considers that VRU should change its decision on elections and postpone presidential election from October 25 for January 17, 2010. He said that on air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“Everybody is waiting for decision of the Constitutional court. I think the VRU adopted political decision (on presidential elections for October 25). In such a way the most rating politicians try to keep their rating till elections.
Volodymyr Lytvyn is convinced that the first tour of the presidential elections should start on January 17, 2010
Commenting on information on possible change of way of election of president, Lytvyn noted that people should not be deprived of their right to elect the head of the state. He is against of elections of president in the parliament.
