In Ukrainian-Russian relations Kyiv acts with man y initiatives and expects answers from its neighbours, the President Viktor Yushchenko said that yesterday at the press conference in Kyiv, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“For Ukraine Ukrainian-Russia relations are one of the national priorities, but the character of these relations does not always depend on the Ukrainian side,“ the President said, commenting on Ukrainian-Russian relations.
According to Yushchenko, this problem is not a problem only of Ukraine, but also former republics of the Soviet Union have uneasy relations with Russia.
According to the President, the sides are necessary to respect sovereignty and national interests.
The President noted that Ukraine does everything possible in order bilateral relations to be dynamic.
According to Yushchenko, Ukraine wants to have normal relations with Russia.
