On Tuesday Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko held a meeting dedicated to the issues of Ukrainian-Japanese cooperation in technology with leaders of Japanese corporations Sumitomo and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries which have set to realization of investment projects in energy, ecology and transport domains within the frames of memorandums signed in March, government portal reported.

The Premier Yulia Tymoshenko noted it concerns realization of projects along eight directions: production and installation of heat pumps which will contribute to significant reduction of cost of heat and hot water for the population; building of modern energy blocks with capacity of 600 MWt and wind power stations; modernization and reconstruction of gas transport system of Ukraine; utilization and processing of domestic waste and building of cogeneration systems. Also, as the Premier put it, Japanese companies are ready to participate in construction of underground in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk.

“First action plans, road maps of joint actions have been elaborated already. Today we are ready to consider approaches to financing of the mentioned projects,” Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized.
