President Viktor Yushchenko watched UEFA Cup quarter-final football match between FC Dynamo Kyiv and Paris Saint-Germain FC, ForUm informs, referring to the president's press office.
Among state officials, who also visited the match that took place at Dynamo Stadium in Kyiv, were Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn, Vice Prime Minister Ivan Vasyunyk, Minister for Family Youth and Sports Yuriy Pavlenko.
Upon their victory, President Yushchenko sent congratulations to FC Dynamo Kyiv expressing joy about them winning the place in UEFA Cup semi-finals.
Dynamo Kyiv football club has won through to the UEFA Cup semifinals for the first time in the history of the Ukrainian football after beating 3-0 Paris Saint-Germain at home on Thursday.
The first match was held in Paris a week ago - 0-0 draw.
