All key branches of Ukraine’s economy demonstrated growth of production in March against February of the current year. Yulia Tymoshenko, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced on opening today’s session of the Government, according to government protal.

Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized despite the fact that exposed to the global financial-economic crunch industry in the first quarter of 2009 as compared to analogous period of 2008 demonstrated slump by 30% and already in March (against February) growth of industrial output amounted 8.3%. According to the Prime Minister, in whole over the first quarter industrial production has restored by up to 15%: “This showing is the proof we are moving in the right direction with regards to anti-crisis measures and if some countries are demonstrating further recession in industry Ukraine sees invigoration processes for the second month”.

The Prime Minister stressed invigoration is observed in all mainstream economical branches, in particular, turnover of retail trade as compared to March-February has grown by 11.5%, passenger turnover – by 11.4%, production in construction area – by 38%, amounts of agricultural production – by 14.4%.

“No economic branch demonstrated slump in March. Each of the branches shows either moderate growth or even growth in 50-60% along certain directions of production,” Yulia Tymoshenko urged.

Moreover, the Premier added from the beginning of year the country is experiencing slowing down of inflation processes. “All this proves certain tendencies towards recovering have shown up,” Yulia Tymoshenko underlined.
