Yesterday Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Ivan Vasiunyk held a meeting with UEFA experts for preparation of airports on the outcomes of their monitoring of the objects of football championship of 2012. During their stay in Ukraine the team of UEFA experts led by Peter Hampson attended cities-participants of gearing up to the European Football Championship of 2012 and met with representatives of the local authorities responsible for preparing the airports, government portal informs.

The UEFA experts shared their impressions from their trips with Vice Prime Minister Ivan Vasiunyk.

“I am convinced all the cities can be readied. To achieve this goal only enthusiasm and concern of the people who deal with this issue is enough. I don’t know personally which cities will be chosen in Poland and Ukraine. I am deeply interested about that. But no matter which cities are chosen we will spare no effort to facilitate their timely preparation, on the appropriate level,” the leading UEFA airport expert Peter Hampson assured the Vice Premier.

On his part the Vice Prime Minister assured UEFA experts that the state will further fulfill all the assumed liabilities.

“The state bears responsibility for preparing of the airports. After the final list of cities-hosts is defined we will take additional measures in order to complete timely reconstruction of airports according to the requirements of the European Football Championship of 2012,” Ivan Vasiunyk stressed.
