President Viktor Yushchenko left for Azerbaijan on a working visit on April 9-10. The visit foresees meeting of the Council of Ukrainian and Azerbaijani Presidents, according to deputy head of the President’s Secretariat Andriy Honcharuk, ForUm informs, referring to the president’s press service

Officials of the Foreign, Defense and Economy Ministries will participate in the Council’s meeting.

“The economic, trade and investment cooperation, energy sphere, as well as transit space of the Baltic Sea, Black Sea and the Caspian military-technical cooperation will be considered at the meeting,” Honcharuk informed.

Ukraine and Azerbaijan are expected to sign a Final Protocol of the meeting, plan of measures for cooperation in 2009-2010, protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation signed on March 24, 2007, interregional cooperation agreement and plan of consultations between the Foreign Ministries in 2009-2010.
