The leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych estimates nonparticipation of Ukraine in the NATO summit as a proof that the world has heard and understood unwillingness of Ukrainians to accede into the alliance. The ForUm informs, referring to the press service of the Party of Regions.
According to Yanukovych, the Party of Regions explained the western partners that only the Ukrainian people must decide whether to join any alliances or not.
Yanukovych reminded that the Party of Regions always considers that involving Ukraine into NATO was against of Ukrainians will.
“The fact that Ukraine will not participate if NATO summit is a proof that the world heard us and understood that nobody can decide the fortune of Ukraine but Ukrainians themselves. Only we together, the citizens of independent Ukraine, must decide our way to the future,” he said.
