The parties discussed a broad range of questions, from the development of relations between Ukraine and the European Union to international problems. Particularly, they discussed ways for more active drawing of Ukraine in the formation of the general European security policy. Much attention was paid to settlement of the finance and economy crisis.
Special accent was placed on energy security objectives, and in this context holding of an international conference on modernization of Ukraine's gas transportation system in Brussels on March 23.
The parties pointed out positive dynamic of political relations between Ukraine and the European Union, whose important components are negotiations on preparation of an agreement on association and on the creation of a free trade zone, as well as visa dialogue.
