The President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko will announce the name of a candidate for the Foreign Minister on next Tuesday, March, 17, reported the Presidential press secretary Irina Vannikova.
According to the press secretary, the President will make the decision about candidature taking into account important aspects, such as a system in candidate’s viewpoint and orientation at Ukraine’s integration to Europe and moral qualities and faultless reputation,” said Irina Vannikova.
She emphasized the President is also ready to consider a candidature proposed by the parliamentary coalition. “To his mind, however, the coalition must realize that Ukraine’s and President’s foreign policy course directed at integration to Europe is determined on legislative basis. The country has been carrying on this policy for recent years. It will not be revised. That is why new Minister will not cause the changes in the foreign policy of Ukraine”, UNIAN is citing Irina Vannikova as saying.
