“According to the
Constitution the coalition suggests the candidature of Borys Tarasyuk. The
decision was made unanimously. We don’t deny the right of the President to
nominate this candidate in the parliament, but we want this question to be
settled as soon as possible. We give a signal that we want to cooperate and ask
the President the same in return,” he said and added that an official letter on
Tarasyuk’s candidature had been sent to the President.
Martynenko also noted that
the coalition hoped for Tarasyuk to agree. “We keep persuading Borys Tarasyuk,
and I think he would give a positive answer on this question,” OU faction
leader said.
