Ukrainian and Russian diplomats held a working meeting in Kyiv to discuss activity and stationing of the Russian Black Sea Fleet (RBSF) in Ukraine, MFA press secretary Vasyl Kyrylych told a briefing, UKRINFORM reported.
The parties discussed conceptual guidelines of elaboration of an agreement on the actions of the parties in case of threat or crisis situation relative to the deployment of the RBSF on the Ukrainian territory. However, Kyrylych noted that no particular results were achieved.
According to the MFA press secretary, the Russian party represented by Russia's MFA Ambassador-at-Large Vladimir Dorohin, suggested concluding an intergovernmental agreement on interaction at the places of dislocation of the RBSF on the territory of Ukraine. V. Kyrylych underlined that a positive thing there is that concluding the intergovernmental agreement will let regulate the whole range of possible problem issues and give legal grounds to include in the instrument the provisions on conducting an inspection of military subdivisions storing explosives and chemicals.
