Russia asks to blame only Ukraine for the gas crisis
Foreign Ministry of Russia expressed a surprise regarding the
statement of the EC officials on that both Ukraine
and Russia
are responsible for the gas crisis. Deputy foreign ministry of Russia Aleksandr
Glushko said.
“The crisis was caused by Ukraine’s
refusal to follow transit agreements,” his statement says.
At the same time, RF
embassy in Ukraine is surprised
with the statement of Ukrainian officials on the “absolute victory” of Ukraine in the gas talks in Moscow, held last week. Minister-counsellor
of RF embassy Vsevolod Loskutov said.
“Talks on any subject,
including economic one, always result in a compromise. And I think the words “victory”
or “defeat” can be applied to football, hockey or any other sport in general,
but not to such processes as bilateral negotiations,” he said.
