The prime minister of the Czech Republic, the country currently holding the EU presidency, Mirek Topolanek, today held a phone conversation with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. The content of their talk was posted on the official website of the Czech Presidency of the EU, UKRINFORM reported.

On behalf of the EU, the Czech prime minister asked his Ukrainian colleague about the causes and circumstances of the halt in Russian gas deliveries. Tymoshenko, in turn, informed Topolanek about some technical difficulties, in particular, the pressure of gas arriving from the Russian Federation being too low.

The Czech prime minister recommended that she immediately contact Eurogas experts who are ready to assist Ukraine in resolving technical problems. The Ukrainian prime minister promised to act according to this offer.
