On Wednesday, at its sitting
the Government has considered and approved the draft Action Program for basis in
the crisis and post-crisis periods.
The draft program takes
into account the provisions of the Coalition agreement and topical tasks of the
Government, set out by the Action Program: “Ukrainian breakthrough: for the
people, not for the politicians”.
The program takes into
consideration proposals and observations of the ministries and departments,
central governmental authorities and the list of infrastructure projects implementation
of which should be aimed at achieving the program goals.
“Ukraine and the world” section
and other sections of the Program concerning the European integration and
international cooperation are updated.
The list of bills and
the list of investment and innovation projects aimed at implementation of the
Program and the section concerning the global financial crisis impact on the
economy of Ukraine are added to the document.
According to the draft,
the Government’s top priority program tasks are the:
achievement of macroeconomic stabilization;
improvement and revival of normal operation
of the financial markets of Ukraine and resumption of confidence to the banking
system;
minimization of the negative social
consequences through carrying out a considered and responsible social policy;
stirring up of economic activity
and resumption of economic growth.
Among the program tasks
and measures directed at a medium-term prospect (2010-2012) are:
providing the fundamental
conditions of post-crisis development of Ukraine;
lifting the infrastructure
restrictions of development;
increasing the technological level
of industrial production;
creating the up-to-date agroindustrial complex etc.
