Pope
Benedict XVI invited the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to
visit Vatican, according to the press-service of the head of the state.
The President was informed about by Metropolitan Mechislav Mokshytskyi. During their meeting they discussed relation of the Ukrainian state and religious organizations which could work in a more efficient way and help spiritual recovery of the society.
Yushchenko congratulated Mokshytskyi with the beginning of his service at the position of Metropolitan in Lviv.
During the meeting Victor Yushchenko assessed positively social activity of catholic organizations in Ukraine.
