The president of Ukraine
Viktor Yushchenko has called the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko to
take urgent measures to solve problems of salary debts.
It is said in the letter of
the head of the state to the PM concerning the situation in the country on salary
debts, the press service of the President reported.
According to Yushchenko, in
September 2008 salary debts increased by b22% and were UAH 850 million.
The president expressed his
concern about such number of salary debts. According to his data, the number of
workers who have not been paid salary in time has increased twice and makes 260
thousand people.
