The corresponding conclusions were publicized in "Vestnik" of the state committee of Ukraine on nationality and religions.
"According to all ethnographic and linguistic signs, Rusyns are organic constituent of the Ukrainian nation, i.e. sub-ethnos," the Ukrainian officials state.
In accordance with last population census 10.2 thousand people called themselves as Rusyns in Zakarpattya oblast.
The officials state that there are 27 schools, teaching Rusyns language, literature and culture in 13 regions of Zakarpattya oblast.
"Nevertheless it would be dangerous to support this movement on creation of separate nationality," the edition says.
