According to the head of the
salvation committee of the yard Ihor Ovdiyenko, the works on orders given to
the enterprise have been stopped. For the moment the yard is doing ship repair
only.
“The yard has curtailed production and is just pretending to work. A three-day
working week has been introduced on the enterprise and it cannot be called
normal work. Owners of the yard plead the world financial crisis, but in order
to overcome it we must build ships, not talk on and on,” Ovdiyenko noted.
