Thousands of employees of the Mariupol metallurgic works were forced to go on leave without pay for ten days. The leader of the trade union of the works Ihor Simonyk told that the term of the vacation is unknown.

According to him, it is also unknown whether the working places will be secured for these employees.

Simonyk believes that the Cabinet and management of the enterprise must account for the situation. “The Cabinet has not taken any measures to prevent the situation, while the management of the plant warned about such development of events two months ago,” he underscored.

As a reminder, director general of the Mariupol metallurgic works Volodymyr Boiko stated: “We don’t cost a penny now. Losses of the enterprises are 250 million UAH and keep growing. In this situation we are ready to nationalize the enterprise.”
