The Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense bloc formally does not exist.
The leader of the "Our Ukraine" party Vyacheslav Kyrylenko said that at
the press conference in Donetsk. He noted that now the majority of the
OU-PSD members suggest to participate in the coming elections by the
parties, not forming any blocs.
"We created a bloc from 9 parties, did a great work. We promised to unite in one political force. And where is this bloc now? Lutsenko stated on his withdrawal from the political team of Yushchenko, other parities of the bloc also do not present the interests of the bloc. This is a result of 9 parties formed one bloc and swore to be devoted to the President," he said.
He also noted that there is no sense to think about old bloc because the President Viktor Yushchenko dissolved the parliament and political forces are preparing for creation of already new blocs now.
