The Cabinet of Ministers
prohibited the budget organizations to buy incandescent lamps from 2009 and
obliged to replace them with energy saving lamps. The chairman of the national
agency on effective use of energy sources Ihor Cherkashin told journalists.
According to him, the
Cabinet passed a decree “On reduction of energy consumption in budget
institutions.
The decree charges the central
and local bodies of the executive power to provide the objects of the budget
sphere with energy-efficient equipment taking into account the sanitary norm of
lightning.
Incandescent lamps use 95% of energy for heating and only 5% for lightning. Fluorescent
lighting allows reducing energy use by five times.
