Mishchenko applied to the President Viktor Yushchenko with an open
letter in which he asks the President to abolish the decree 911 on VRU
dissolution.
“I address to you with argued demand to use your right and cancel decree № 911/2008 “On VRU dissolution” and announcement of early parliamentary elections” from October 9, 2008.
I am sure that the early parliamentary elections will not lead to significant changes in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. They are likely aimed at discrimination of the constitutional rights of the Ukrainian nation and can lead to destabilization in the country. I assure you that the people of Ukraine does not want these early parliamentary elections and considers them as unreasonable and inappropriate,” he said.
