The order of the St. Aleksandr Nevsky prince, with which leader of the Party of Regions party Viktor Yanukovych was decorated, is recognized as invalid.
The Russian Prosecutor General's office reports.
"The Russian Prosecutor General's office and the Federal Security Service of Russia together with Federal Taxation Service of Russia, Justice Ministry of Russia, Heraldic Council under the Russian President found out violations of the law in the activity... of the autonomous non-commercial organization "National committee of public awards," the statement says.
Earlier, on July 8 on Birthday of Viktor Yanukovych "National committee of public awards" took a decision on decorating him with the order of the St. Aleksandr Nevsky prince.
