People suffered from the natural disaster, occurred on 23-27 July 2008, will receive funds from Government’s charitable accounts in a week at the most. This was informed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko at the sitting of the Government Commission on providing aid to the citizens suffered from the flood in the west regions of Ukraine.

Yulia Tymoshenko also ordered so that 100% of funds would be delivered by “Ukrposhta” mailmen directly to every house. “I address to all heads of local authorities, heads of regional, district state administrations that really in a week these funds which you receive into your accounts tomorrow will be delivered to the people,” the PM underscored.

In his turn, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov proposed to prolong validity of charitable accounts for one more month into which the funds continue to go. “To my mind, another several millions can be accumulated and then we finally take a decision on end use of these funds – for example, for operations or other extremely important for the people expenses,” Oleksandr Turchynov said. First Vice Prime Minister also noted that these funds are additional which are not included into sums paid at the State Budget’s cost.
