Press office of the bloc
distributed the statement.
“I hope our partners will
come to their senses and will step back. If not, further fate of the coalition
is under the question. We well have no choice but to leave the coalition
because of the violation of the coalition agreement by BYuT faction,” deputy
chairman of the OU-PSD faction Roman Zvarych declared.
He believes that BYuT
violated the agreement when it voted together with the Party of Regions and
communists for four draft bills, which were not agreed at the level of the
council.
Zvarych noted that the
coalition agreements stipulates for the order of decision making, including
obligatory consideration of draft bills at the level of the coalition council.
“If BYuT keeps voting for
these draft bills it will mean that our coalition partner has crossed the
Rubicon,” he said.
BYuT refused the
proposition of OU-PSD to call the coalition council before consideration of the
Russian-Georgian conflict at session of the parliament supposedly aimed at
working out of a common position.
