The Government Commission on man-caused and ecological safety and emergency situations will operate twenty-four hours a day and take all steps necessary for fire extinguishing which broke out near Lozova of the Kharkiv region. Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko stated at briefing after the sitting of the State Commission on man-caused and ecological safety and emergency situations.

“At the present all powers and organization resources attracted to extinguish the fire and stop explosions,” the Premier stressed, Cabinet's press office reported.

The Prime Minister has commissioned Minister of Defense and Minister of Emergency Situations urgently to leave for the fire zone. Moreover, in the morning First Vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Turchynov departs there to coordinate completely all works on fire localization.

The Head of Government also told that, according to on-line information, all symptoms of dangerous situation diminish. According to Yulia Tymoshenko, during the nearest 4-5 hours armored machinery will be brought up three times as much to the fire sector and join the system of fire extinguishing.

The PM noted that at the moment 1 thousand 400 citizens have been evacuated; evacuation is required for 6 thousand people on the whole.  

The Lozova railway station which is within dangerous range is taken under special control, all trains redirected, Yulia Tymoshenko informed. Besides, as the Premier says, the MIA forces encircled 6 km zone.

The Prime Minister has commissioned the Ministry of Health to attract all necessary powers for providing medical care to people.

The Prime Minister has also commissioned the Security Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Emergency Situations and State Committee for Industrial Safety, Labor Protection and Mountain Supervision to make an examination of reasons of fire initiation. According to Yulia Tymoshenko, if facts of the officials’ inactivity established, they will respond.
