Yushchenko stated at the
session of the National Security and Defense Council, IMC correspondent
reported.
“I will personally decide
on period of office of governors if the reconstruction works are not finished
by November,” he said.
Besides, the President
warned the representatives of the power that in case of dishonest use of means
they will face severe punishment.
“If I come to know that
someone uses the disaster to gain money, you will account for this,” Yushchenko
noted.
The President asked the
Prosecutor’s Office and Account Chamber to control the use of means, allotted
for liquidation of consequences of the natural disaster in western regions.
