Viktor Yushchenko asks the
Cabinet to hold special session to allot means for transport infrastructure of flood-hit
settlements.
The President said at the
session of the National Security and Defense Council, ForUm's correspondent
reported.
According to Yushchenko, 17
settlements are lacking for transport and 19 settlements are lacking for gas.
“I propose to approve
object-by-object allotment of means to renew transport infrastructure within 24
hours. NSDF will not do it of course. It must be done by the Cabinet at a
special session,” he said.
In addition, the President
criticized unproductive work of local governments on liquidation of
consequences of the natural disaster and proposed “to devote 10 days to
removing garbage from the flood-hit houses.”
