The
European Commission is ready to consider an issue on possible financial
help for renewal works in the regions of Ukraine, suffered from natural
disaster. The press service of the representative office of the
European Commission to Ukraine informs, referring to the letter of
Benita Ferrero-Waldner to the President Viktor Yushchenko.
Ferrero-Waldner reminded that a group of experts from the center of monitoring and information of the European Commission is working in Ukraine with the purpose to estimate needs for reconstruction and further aid that will be granted by the European Union.
Moreover, Ferrero-Waldner expressed condoles to the people who lost their family members, and remain without homes as a result of the disaster.
