German Chancellor Angela Merkel has arrived in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv this Monday.
The official meeting of Angela Merkel and President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko is due to start at 12.45, UNIAN reports.
Besides, during her one-day visit, Merkel is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
The meeting with the opposition leader Viktor Yanukovych has been postponed becasue of yanukovych's busy schedule.
Energy policy, plans for the ex-Soviet state`s membership of NATO and the European Union, and developments in Ukraine`s domestic politics are likely to be on the agenda of the talks.
