Ukraine has intent to introduce a visa free regime with the European Union by the year 2012.
Foreign Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko said Friday at the press conference.
“Our goal is to solve the issue of visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens by the year 2012”, Ohryzko said, adding that “namely this is one of the key elements that we insist to include into the text of a new enhanced agreement, which will be signed in the nearest future”.
He pointed out that the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine would thoroughly watch the situation and defend rights of Ukrainian citizens.
Ohryzko also informed a special monitoring of the agreement implementation had been established between Ukraine and EU.
