Prime
Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko considers Ukraine and Poland will host football championship the
Euro-2012 in a worthy manner. She announced that at a press conference on the
outcomes of a meeting with Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Alfred Gusenbauer.
“I am convinced
that Ukraine and Poland will host Euro-2012 with dignity and I wish it would be
held on the same level as in Austria,” Yulia Tymoshenko said. She emphasized
that organization of the mentioned event is not an easy matter. According to
her, if Austria at the time of gearing-up and holding of the recent football
championship had already had the majority of infrastructure objects, in Ukraine
these objects had to be built. Prime Minister told, in particular, it concerns
building of hotels, roads and airports. Yulia Tymoshenko views to realize such
powerful projects 4 years is such a short term but “we have a positive attitude”.
Yulia Tymoshenko informed that Ukraine and Poland approved a general plan of holding
the Euro-2012 and are acting now to comply with it.
In his turn
Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Alfred Gusenbauer
imparted that Austria is ready to provide Ukraine overall support in the
process of organization of this event and is pleased to hand on the baton as
well as their best experience. Notably, he announced about readiness of his
country to render consultations to Ukraine either on government level and on the
level of huge companies, which had been involved during organization of the
Euro in Austria. “Euro-2012 is a chance for Ukraine and Poland,” Chancellor
added.
