Prosecutor General hiding information about Yushchenko’s poisoning
As a person concerned, the President
of Ukraine does not have a right to give any comments on the investigation of
his poisoning. The Party of Regions deputy Vadym Kolesnychenko told ForUm in an
interview.
According to him, the
Office of prosecutor General is carrying out the investigation, and referring to
the secrecy of investigation it has a right not to make any statements
Earlier Yushchenko stated
that he knew the customers of his poisoning, but he refused to name them before
the completion of the investigation.
“The people connected with
the organizers of that dinner, during which I was poisoned, must be brought to
the investigation. These three people are in Russia now, and they have Russian citizenship,”
Yushchenko underlined.
According to the President,
Ukraine has sent an official extradition request. “Now
we are holding negotiations on their extradition. These people know why they
are in Russia…I think Russia will meet its obligation according
to the bilateral agreement on legal assistance,” he said.
