During the sitting of the faction leaders, the Party of Regions together with CPU and Lytvyn bloc demanded the Government make a report about its work, said Parliament Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk, as ForUm’s correspondent reports.

“I would not like to give political estimations, but I will venture to make short comments. I think this question is nothing more than a political nonsense,” said the Speaker.

According to Yatsenyuk, this requirement would’ve been understandable, if there was a new coalition and government. “Today, the coalition has got all legal possibilities for such decision, but as I see it, they have not enough political means,” said Yatsenyuk.

He also said that he had made an analysis of signatures in the document about non-confidence to the government, introduced by PR at the request of the coalition, and found out it contains the needed 150 signatures of people’s deputies.

The Speaker said there were all legal grounds to consider this question, but the document contains a number of legal collisions, which may cause certain effects.

Yatsenyuk also said the Constitution provides the introduction of resolution about non-confidence to the Government to the Parliament. He mentioned the Parliament had voted just once for the similar act – about non-confidence to Prime Minister Viktor Yushchenko.
