PR for proportional representation system

The Party of Regions proposes to hold the Parliamentary elections according to the proportional representation system with open party lists.

This norm is specified in the draft project of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, introduced by the Party of Regions, available on Interfax-Ukraine.

This norm is described in the article 77 of the draft project.

Unlike the analogous article of the current Main Law, the Party of Regions proposes: “The political party, which got more votes than any other, but less than needed for the majority from the constitutional structure of the Parliament, gets 226 deputy’s mandates”
