For the previous 6 months there were 17 bank robberies in Ukraine, 7 of them detected, said deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Volodymyr Yevdokymov at the press conference in Kyiv.
Moreover he said that for the years of independence there were 164 bank robberies where 7 officers and 11 cash messengers were injured.
According to Yevdokymov, one of the main reasons of robberies in the banking branches is the unsatisfactory level of the security and technical equipment.
