Unemployment in Ukraine has shortened by 17% as compared to the analogous period of the previous year. This was informed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko at the beginning of today’s Gov’t session.

“Steady tendency of raising of the rates of production positively influences the state of labour market,” Yulia Tymoshenko imparted. She was heard as saying that according to recent indices the number of unemployed in Ukraine has dropped by 17% as compared to the respective period of the last year.

“Comparing five months of our activity and five months of work of antecedent government the number of officially registered on labour market by 17% down,” Yulia Tymoshenko told. According to Premier this statistics implies coordinated work of the whole government and regional teams of Ukraine.
