Vice chairman of the PR faction Oleksandr Yefremov explained to the parliament journalists why BYuT blocked the VR podium, ForUm’s correspondent reports from the Verkhovna Rada.

“During the consultations with the Speaker, when the opposition factions proposed to work today and tomorrow and also make the next week plenary, the coalition representatives decided nothing better but block the work of the Parliament with BYuT. The official reason, they gave, was that the factions didn’t vote for the draft law № 1408 about imperative mandate,’ said Yefremov.

He supposed that the unofficial reason why BYuT blocked the VR podium was that BYuT is afraid “other people’s deputies could unite in other configuration and approve a bill, which is not satisfactory for them at the moment”.
